Carter Caves State Resort Park presents the Wild Caving Adventure Series, an exhilarating exploration event exclusive to this cherished Kentucky State Park. The series features a multitude of adventures, each offering its own unique thrill, but none more so than the exploration of Bat Cave, one of the park's biggest and most intriguing attractions.

Far from being just another cave, Bat Cave promises a rollercoaster of an adventure, traversed by a creek that participants use for navigation. Famous for its uniquely named areas such as Gopher Hole, Hatter's Hole, Bathtub, The Drain, and Sea of Screams, the cave is a wild environment unmarred by human intervention, save for the cave gates.

Do You Have Bats in the Belfry?

The journey through Bat Cave is nothing short of diverse, encompassing various forms of movement including walking, duck-walking, scrambling over breakdown piles, creek crossings, belly slides, and crawling on hands and knees. The terrain within the cave varies from dry to muddy to wet, offering a complete caving experience. Your encounter with the cave's water features will ultimately hinge on the mercy of your guide!

The Bat Cave adventure, designed for ages 13 and above, comes with a complete equipment package, including coveralls, helmets, lights, and pads, all included in the price. Note that certain restrictions may apply, and participants might be required to provide their own transportation for some parts of the trip.
